Modern Slavery is a form of exploitation of individuals for the purpose of personal or commercial gain. It can take many forms, and can in occur in every sector and industry. Whilst it can affect people of all ages, genders and nationalities, it is particularly prevalent among vulnerable populations such as migrants, refugees and those who live in poverty.
There are several indicators that you should look out for, as they may suggest, that modern slavery is taking place. This video based training program aims to raise awareness about modern slavery and equip participants with the knowledge and skills to combat it effectively.
After watching the video, or completing the self-paced eLearning version, your workers will learn:
The definition and various forms of modern slavery
About high-risk industries and vulnerable populations
The importance of employee engagement in combating modern slavery
Strategies to create a culture of transparency, reporting, and accountability
Ways to advocate for ethical practices and support anti-slavery initiatives
The video comes complete with trainer support notes, including questions and prompts to encourage discussion. From this, participants will deepen their understanding of modern slavery and explore actionable steps to address this pressing human rights issue.
