Description:

Asbestos was commonly used in industrial, manufacturing, building and construction applications in Australia between the 1940s and late 1980s.

Because of its durability, fire resistance and excellent insulating properties, asbestos has been used in the manufacture of more than 3000 products.

However, exposure to asbestos fibres may cause asbestosis or cancer and as such it must be treated with extreme caution.

This is an abridged version of  The Easy Guide to Asbestos, making it ideal for inclusion into an induction program or as a great resource for tool box sessions and refresher training down the track.
