Description:

Each year in Australia a thousand of workers are diagnosed as having noise induced hearing loss.

Excessive noise can destroy the delicate nerve cells in the inner ear that transmit sound messages to the brain. When the nerve cells are damaged they are replaced by scar tissue which does not respond to sound. This damage is permanent.
